Hi ffrancam
some days ago I was asking the exact same thing.
I was working with VB3 and VB4 (16 bits) and i was not having very sucess.
Now, i know differently. There are no compatibility problems but because you are working with a kind-of-pre-historic tool ( we are have the VB version 7 )you might have some licence problems.
What you have to do is find out what .lic files you need and try to get them.
You should be in peace then
I have VB4-16bit on my Win ME and haven't found a problem yet. I'll let you know if I do.

Well, I came across "Object server not properly registered" when I went to TOOLS > CUSTOM CONTROLS to shut some off. But that's the only one I've found so far.
Any others I should look out for, ffrancam?

I too have the Object server not properly registered message. all that means is that there are some ocx's that are not registered in the registry properly. there is a program you can get off the net that'll fix it.
It's not win me problem as i have it on win95 as well

If you do remember the site, could you please post it? I'm sure ffrancam, as well as I, would be very appreciative if you would.
I am perplexed, though, I've never come across this problem with win 95 using vb16 until we switched to ME. I just don't understand how come you're having this problem on 95 as well. <interesting>

I had this same problem with the VB4-32 bits in the Win95.
I reinstalled VB4-32 again and the problem disappeared.
Do you still use the VB4-16/32 bits?
