win 98 fatal execption error

installed new abit kt7-raid mb w/duron 750
did clean install of win 98. after installing hardware (modem,scanner,sound card (sound blaster live),video card(gts II prophet 64) and drivers for raid i get fatal exception error when loading windows.
fatal exception OE 0028:C2a2940F and blue screen
have reinstalled win98 twice. system will boot but then
I install the hardware and start getting this error
any suggetions would be welcome

Which piece of hardware does it crash on?
I would remove the modem, scanner, and soundcard, then get windows running correctly, then reinstall one at a time.
Disable com 2 in BIOS if you're not using it, set "PnP OS Installed" to NO, and enable "Reset Configuarion Data" beforehand.
