Just installed Corel 10. on my Win 98 o/s. Corel run okay until I have to open a file. I usually get to about 35% (open) then I get the Application Recovery Wizard which says the application you are using has become unstable.

No matter what button i click on the wizard, the application hangs, or shuts down.

Any help appreciated.

Try this - install a postscript printer driver (any will do, Apple laserwriter is as good as any)set it at file and have it as your default printer. Corel apparently functions better with a printer on. also try importing the file rather than opening. I had V10 on a 98 machine and it was plain hard work, very unstable. I changed to Windows 2000 nd later to XP Pro - Draw 10 is a completely different programme in them, make sure you install the Draw SPs though. Another thought if you have anti virus software was it turned OFF on installation of Draw?

Thank you! Yesterday I got to a corel site and they basically suggested the same thing. The problem was I had my old Laserjet4L as my default printer. All I had to do is change my default to my new deskjet printer and it all worked. Who'd of thought it!!!! But thank you anyway obviously you were on the right track.

Installing the SP? hmmm. I have a report due, it working well enough, so I'll tinker later. Thank you
