hi guys, i'll appreciate any posibble help.

i installed windows 2000 server in addition to windows 98 on the same machine.

1) i installed on my windows 98 applications like word and
excel 2000, and now i want to use them from windows
2000 without needing to install them again on windows
2000. is it posibble?

2) with my windows 98 i play music and so on. from my
windows 2000 on the same computer there are not sounds
at all. how do i solve the problem? i have a a sound
card on this computer since i can play music on win 98.

3) also, on another computer that has just win 98 i
deleted something, and since then cannot operate the cd
drive. actually the cd driver doesn't appear in "my
computer" folder. what should i do?

thanks for any help, ilan

I will attempt to answer your questions
1) You will have to reinstall the applications. The registries are different and stored differently. There is no way past that.

2) For your sound card you will have to download the latest drivers for Win2K.

3) For the CD drive. I am unsure of an easy fix, I am sure there is one. The way I know how to fix it is to just reload over the old install withou formatting. This usually fixes it.
