Win 95 Norton AntiVirus - Boot problems

Ona Win 95 machine the Norton AntiVirus found a change in the Boot Sector after tring to add memory. It didnt recognize the drives upon reboot and had to recognize them. After it did it invoked Norton and found issues. It would not continue with any options but for the Repair option...So I finally chose this one. Now the machine tries to boot into Windows and then jumps out to a dos prompt that has the words Norton Antiirus above the prompt. It never gets to the desktop.

Anyone help on how to recover from this problem? I havea few ideas but al lare fairly intensive.

Check if NAV.EXE is present in autoexec.bat
Put a rem before it if it is .
There sames to be some crashes/conflicts with nav.exe in different circumstances .
