I am recycling an old server and using Win2K server software that is on hand. I also have 25 CALS. However, I cannot find the floppies for the CAL install - I just have the paper copy of the license with the License Authorization Number, License Agreement Number, etc. I have been through several people at MS, but it seems that I can't get replacement disks at this point.

I appreciate any ideas for how to install these CAL's avoid buying CALs that I already bought once.

Thanks.

Is this an SBS server? If it is you are probably hosed. If its not SBS I wouldnt even worry about it. Turn off licensing usually doesnt work right anyway. Be comfortable with the knowledge that you purchased the proper licensing.

Wow, thanks! Sounds excellent so far. I this is not SBS. One important question. How do I turn off licensing in Win2K Server?

It's a service, just disable it.

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

There are no more PDC's! There are DC's with FSMO roles!
