Hi
One of the machines in our office has developed a problem.
A collegue installed the free Quick Time player and on reboot we got a stop error.

It gets to the NT screen and then blue screen.

The code only flashes up quickly but I think it is 0x0000007F 0x0000008 0x000000 0x000000
Kernal mode trap error

Beginning physical memory dump.

This then throws me back into a reboot loop

The machine does boot in SAFE MODE with networking and I am able to boot from CD. As it is a dell I do not have an original 2k disk, only reinstallation disk.

In safe mode I have uninstalled QT and disabled all the drivers I feel are not essential (if anyone can give me a complete list I would be grateful).

On reboot- the same problem.

This has happened before on this machine and I went through the whole dell diagnostics charade with no positive concluision. I finally reformatted the hard drive, einstalled Windows along with all the rest of the software and this is a process I would prefer to not have to do again!

I hope someone with a bigger brain than mine can help!

This system is W2k sp4 dell precission 330
