Hello,

We are using a Win 2008 terminal server.

We are using a medical application. The medical application has an image library. It opens jpegs.

I can open Jpegs outside of the med. app. They are assoc. w/ MS Paint. DEP is adjusted. If I try to open the jpeg, from within the med app's image library, it just blinks. It seems like something is blocking the exe from opening the jpeg. It isn't DEP or Symantec Endpoint. The Med. App. developers didn't have any feedback.

Is there a group policy or something else, that could block this?

Thanks in advance.

Don't know if this will help, but you can try using the Sysinternals process monitor tool so you can see what EXEs/DLLs are being called when you attempt to view the jpeg from within your medical app. From there you can exclude them from DEP

I would be interested in knowing if their application is supported on Windows 2008 and/or terminal server environments. Many applications will work in a single-user mode but will not work properly in a multi-user environment.
