Having strange issue trying to load MS Windows Server 2003 Standard R2 on our IBM Server

(2) new drives ... using the IBM WEB-BIOS built-in utility to build the array - deleted the original array and selected auto config to rebuild a new array ....

Both drives are recognized during the raid array config - 146GB 15K ....

Windows Server loads off the MS OEM CD and I get the error message "Can't h=find a hard drive"

Any ideas? can't imagine any BIOS setting that would cause it ... but something strange is occurring.

Thanks!

Because the drives are recognized does not mean you have an array capable of being recognized by the OS. Do you have an array, does your raid bios setup show a raid 1 (hopefully not a raid 0)? If not the OS will not see it.

In your server bios, is the raid set to boot up ?
