So I was at work for about an hour or so thismorning and everything was running perfectly. Then, the server just decides to reboot on its own! It shutsdown and on reboot it hangs at this point:

SMBIOS initialize *** Passed
ERROR
0BB0: SMBios - SRom Data Read Error
ERROR
0B95: BMC FRU Device Failure
ERROR
0BD2: 1st SMBus Timeout

Then I have to hit F1 to resume and the server will boot up and I dont seem to have any problems. This has happened twice now today. Once at around 9 and second time around noon. I haven't installed anything, added any new hardware, new services, new users. I did add more memory about a month ago... but I know that its the correct type, and like I said, the server has been running perfectly until now. Any insight or suggestions would be much appreciated!
Thanks

Is there any events in the event viewer. especially warning or errors. If so what number are they and what is the source of the erro.

There is absolutely nothing in the event viewer....

This is nothing to do with WIndows 2000 server. It's a hardware problem? What's the model of your server? Either update the BIOS version, change the BIOS chip or the motherboard. Whatever it is, it's the job of your vendor unless your machine got no more warranty..

As I understand it the srom is the rom on the bios which usually writes to ram for the OS to read bios drivers from. s=shadow? ricpinto is on the right tack methinks.
