Win 2000 Pro, IE Can;t Save as

I have Windows 2000 Professional. Everything has been working great. The other day I noticed that when I right click on a graphic in Internet Explorer, that I can only save the graphic as a bmp. I have to type a new name also. Sometimes, the 1st time I try to save a graphic, it lets me save as whatever the original is. But it only does this the 1st time I try to save after I open IE.

I have the automatic updates running on my machine. I install all the updates as they say they have been downloaded. I am thinking this could be the only thing that has changed recently. Has anyone ever heard of this?

What can I do to fix it? If I have to reinstall Windows, will I have to reinstall all of my software?

I also run Office 2000 Professional.

You're a little off-tpoic for this forum, but I've dealt with this one numerous times.
You'll hardly have to anything so drastic as a reformat/reinstall.
