I installed Photoshop 6 on a bunch of Windows 2000 machines that already had Photoshop 5.5 on them. The users need both versions but when they click on an image, they want it to open up in Photoshop 6 as the default. I tried to associate the file types for .jpg and .gif to Photoshop 6 but they still open up in 5.5 as the default. Any ideas? Thanks.

I don't know if this will work but you can give it a whirl,
right click on a file and choose open with, select psp6 and check the box.
I think it would do the same this as what you have already done but have ago anyway.

Hey thanks everyone! Well I thought of something this morning that seemed to work. The executable file for Photoshop 5.5 and Photshop 6 are named the exact same name. I changed the name of the Photoshop 6 file and set the file types to open that one. It worked like a charm. If it causes problems I'll look at the registry thing.
