Hi there,

Just a quickie - I've been given a little task of creating a Win 2000 server based small network where the server will be running an SQL database.

I'm trying to keep costs down and was wondering if the Microsoft backup that came with Win 2000 would suffice for the job, and would be reliable enough to trust (I've only ever worked on an NT network so don't know the capabilities of 2000). I'm probably not going to be running Exchange - just the database and the user data. I have been looking at Veritas - anyone got any ideas????

Thanks a lot for your help.

As my bessie bud Kev always says - "Get involved!!!"

I've tried using BackUp on Windows system tool and Backup Database on SQL Server.
Backup on BackupServer, CD or Tape.
Set the schedule while it takes minimal data process or jobs.
All using the standard tools, It's looks fine.
