Dear All:
I have a database which is created by SQL7 server for sometime and now I have installed with SQL2K server. Will there be any problem occurs while accessing the database if I just only attach the database by SQL2k server. Since I need starting to use this new SQL2K server, thus is this the only way I have to do or any suggesstion. Thx for any professional advise.

You should not have many issues, if any at all, by bringing a SS7 DB into SS2K. May have a couple of hurdles in attaching the DB but if you use Query Analyzer with the appropriate sp_attach_db or sp_attach_single_file_db commands, you should be good to go. Take a look in BOL (Books OnLine) for more help.

Thanks

I went from SQL7 to SQL2K without a hitch. Shut down the SQL engine, install the SQL2000 on top of it, start it up. viola!

Of course I would recommend backing up everything at least once for every month you can't go without work.
