Hey all,

I'm working on a support page for myself and I'm trying to get some links setup so I can telnet into my ProCurve switches. Here's what I'm using (minus the angle brackets so I don't mess anything up):

a href="telnet:192.168.2.13"

The first time I ran it FireFox asked me to point to the program I wanted to run for links like this. I pointed it to telnet.exe but now when I click on a telnet link nothing happens. No errors, no pop-up windows, nothing. Is what I'm doing possible? I had one quarter of HTML up at the community college so please keep answers simple enough so my head won't explode.

Thanks,

Joe B

Ok, it's working now. I had to go in to the FireFox setup and change the associated application from "Use Microsoft Telnet Client" to the "Use rundll32 yadda yadda yadda..." Pretty much everything I found was for Linux users, but I figured FireFox was FireFox. Anyway, I thought this answer might help the next person with the same problem.

Thanks,

Joe B
