I'm going to install ASA 2.1 (thanks Mike) on a new PC with windows XP. I'm currently using DSA -- Will the "persist.dat" file work on ASA 2.1 if I copy it from the DSA folder?

I've done a search, but nothing about DSA to ASA software using the same persist.dat file.

Thanks.

When I attempted to transfer it over, it did not work.

Remember that in ASA the persist.dat file is found in your Documents and Settings folder, not in Program Files/Avaya/ASA....

I also tried it and was unsuccessful, even with the new directory location. I also found that I couldn't share the persist.dat file with any other workers.

The persist.dat file up until ASA 3.0 was stored in the Program Files\Ayava\Site Administration\User folder. When they changed to ASA 3.0, they moved it to the: C:\Documents and Settings\%user%\Application Data\Avaya\Site Administration\user folder. The persist.dat file from ASA 2.x will work with ASA 3.x.
