Will Pagemaker 7 run on Windows 7?

Just bought a new Asus laptop and don't want to mess up the registry by loading a program that might not work then have to uninstall it.

Anybody have success running PageMaker 7.0 on a Windows 7 machine?

If you're willing to spend the time with compatibility modes and the like, you might if the installer plays ball, but PM7 is now so old there's no telling what might happen. As it has no auto-backup, lost work is all but inevitable.

It's time to use your PM Licence while you still can for a discount for InDesign - which is now up to Ver 4 (which if seen as PM11, make you realise how things have moved on)

I have decided to keep this new machine as clean as possible. My other computer has CS2 and PM 7. I think keeping it slim will help running the Internet faster.
