Hello-

We're planning on moving a Norstar MICS and associated Call Pilot across town to our new office. It will need to be powered-down between the time of the de-installation and the time it's brought across town, mounted, and turned back on. Will the Norstar
and Call Pilot retain the programming under these circumstances? If so, how long can the system be 'down' and retain the programming? Are there any precautions to be taken to keep the programming intact? Thank you very much for your guidance!

If the CAP inside the KSU is good, no problem. To be safe backup the programming 1st.

There is no way to tell how long programming will last.
Depends on how old the system is, how many power outages or surges etc.

Your other option is to backup the system using a RAD.
