I XXXXed up on a setting in my bios now I have no monitor use and during Post I get 3 beeps. Thats either a ram or vga-type problem according to them that really know. Of course they/them do not mention the removal of the battery as a possibility or even a solution, but I've heard it said that this would work. My question is, Will it still have its defaults when it boots into life again??

You won't lose your BIOS. You will lose the special settings in CMOS as it will go back to defaults.
Should come back to standard VGA settings.
There may be an alternate method of forcing the CMOS to default settings by using a clear CMOS jumper on the motherboard. That would be the preferred method if it is available. Look in the M/B manual to see if this is an option.
