Will Microsoft Exchange Server work instead

The two products serve very different needs. MS Exchange server is Microsoft's enterprise-level email server. And MTS is their transaction server. MTS just does transactions, and Exchange just does email. The two are totally separate (although Exchange may make use of the services that MTS provides).
