I've learned a lot of information from thread690-1452562 as of Feb. 08. We are in a process of planning an upgrade from ACM1.3 (S8700) to ACM4.x. We currently use MAP-D TN801BV5 (LAN-gateway interface) with Avaya CT 1.3 servers to run our CTI applications (i.e screen-pop, call monitoring, etc.). Based on the discussion in the above thread, we should be OK after we upgrade to ACM4.X as far as our CTI applications are concerned. But one of our vendor support engineers suggested that we replace TN801B with TN802B which confused me a bit. I looked up the Avaya hardware document, TN802B is primarily used as IP media processor and it is replaced with TN2302AP IP media processor which functions deferently than TN801B MAP-D. I'd appreciate it if you would provide a clarification or confirmation on this. Thanks in advance!

as my remember tn801 still work in cm4,old software application from lucent or avaya still work , but vender software that must ask them . TN801 is mapd card but TN802 for ip trunk connection. But I think the main cpu card is the same but may be diffent ram.

The MAP-D will work in a CM 4.0 environment. I'm surprised to hear that you can still upgrade to CMS 4.0. I was under the impression that Avaya stopped sale of CM 4.0 last year and the current upgrade is to CM 5.0.

While the MAP-D will work in a CM 5.0 switch, Avaya will not support it.

Thank you all for your advices!
I hope that we son't have any issues on our existing CTI applications (all use Avaya/Lucent provided software or API, no 3rd party stuff).
The reason we decided to do ACM4.X is that ACM4.X is the last version supporting both MAP-D and AES, we need this version to migrate to AES while still using MAP-D.

I have a MAP-D TN801 using CM4.

We use it for the CTI link to our Verint ULtra Call REcording Platform.

We don't have any issues with this setup.
