I have a bcm 400 release 3.6, the hard drive has failed and I will be replacing it this afternoon.
the phones and pri t1 are working but im unsure when i do replace the drive will the system default the programming?
There is no backup of the harddrive unfortunately.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Follow the basic guide below. As it's only the hard disk that is changing, you should retain all your programming except for any IP information.

Once you have got it all up and running again, you should patch it up and do a backup.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

BE AWARE!! If you just go into this and choos to do a platform initialization you can lose telephony data also. You have to go into the com port telnet and change the config date to Jan 8 2008 before doing the steps that are listed in that document.
