Will Exchange 2010 Archive work with Outlook 2007

I read thru the SP1 release notes and cant find the answer... wondering if there is someone using Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2007 to access archive, rather than OWA or Outlook 2010???

Im sure of the answer, just didnt want to assume...

From my understanding it does not and you need the outlook 2010 but I haven't tested this myself.

The OWA client is the only way to get to the archive if you're using Outlook 2007. The product group has announced that an upcoming update will enable access to the archive for Outlook 2007, but, from what I've heard (and can divulge), don't look for it anytime soon.

Outlook 2010 provides excellent access to the archive, and many other features.

that's what I suspected... kinda peeved as my Microsoft specialist at so-called vendor told me this was possible, couldn't budget for Office 2010 upgrades along with Exchange upgrade... which is why I was able to do it now rather than later.
