We have a number of applications built with VB6, DCOM and ADO in a multitier structure. We plan to move as soon as is practical to WIN/2000. Anyone have advice as to how big the DCOM to COM+ conversion will be?

For anyone interested, MS has announced that COM+ will be an extension of DCOM and also will include MTS functions. I am told that bringing DCOM apps to WIN2000 should be no problem.
Of course, to gain the benefits of Active Directory and other good stuff will take some rework. But the liftover to Win2000 is supposed to be easy.

That's the kind of question I'd come to *you* with John.
Now that we've been able to take a look at Win2000, it is clear that DCOM (and MTS) are central to how Microsoft wants us to do our developing.
