Will CS1000 and other "Nortel" products move elsewhere? 1

Mitel?
E-MetroTel?
Siemens?
Vertical?
Genband?

The most logical would be E-MetroTel for the Nortel equipment, since it's all the Nortel guys that developed the CS1000 and Meridian 1.

Siemen's wants more presence in North America.

Mitel is acquisition happy.

Vertical is small now and looking to expand.

Genband? Already owns all Meridian Digital Centrex (DMS, SL100) and CS2100 equipment.

So your guess is as good as mine.

I never quite understood "buying the Call Center" piece. Unless they are selling the AACC piece, all other call center pieces are embedded within the PBX/Call Servers, in both the CS1K and the CM. CMS is the reporting piece and the AACC is the Call Center package from the Blue side. Maybe it's just me, but I don't see how this will help them, unless they can offload the PBX side as well, but where would that put them in the end? What else is left for them?
