Hi,

I want to set up a web site using a SQL Server database. I will be paying to host this site with a web host who will have SQL Server set up. I think all I need on my end are the Client Tools (Enterprise Manager and Query Analyzer). I read on another site that even after the Evaluation software expires in 120 days that the client tools will still work. The article I read this in was outdated. Can anyone confirm this for me? Is this all I need to work with a database on a remote host?

Thanks a bunch!!

Yes, they should still work. Why? You don't need to have SQL Server installed to install the CLIENT TOOLS. I have two computers that I installed the CLIENT TOOLS (EM and QA) onto so I could administer two remote SQL Servers. I was never asked for a license when installing the tools and I never had SQL Server installed on either of the computers.
