Will any other operating systems run on O2 system?

I acquired an O2 system, which was connected to a network. It lacks some of Irix 6.3 installation, which were on network drives. I have some other versions of Unix plus
numerous versions of Linux on CDs. Currently, can't locate
Irix CDs on auctions, and would like to check-out the O2.
Does anyone know if other OS will function on the hardware?

As it happens, I use an O2 as my personal
workstation.

The O2, like the Origin, Octane, and Onyx
families, is a MIPS machine. AFAIK, there
are no os's other than IRIX that run on MIPS,
although SGI has been experimenting with
Linux on MIPS in-house.

I suppose it's conceiveable that somebody out
there has rolled their own.
