Can a NEC DTH-16D-2 IP phone work with an IPS system?

Yes, you can up scale from Key system (DTH phones) to PBX systesm (DTP or DTR), but you can not use a DTP or DTR on a Key system.

That is actually completely backwards. PBX phones will work on key systems but key phones wont work on PBXs. Or else what would be the point of ever buying the more expensive DTRs?

e.g. DTRs will work on IPKs but DTHs wont work on IPS's. So to answer your question. No.

Ok, I won't buy DTH phones on my system then...
Thank you.

Oh well heck I knew that. Yea, I am backwards, So don't listen to me. I thought it and wrote the opposite.

The DTH phones will actually work, but they require a much more expensive version of the DLC card.
