I've been in the IT industry for over 15 years. I have a BS in CIS. I'm 10 classes into a 16 class MS in Information Systems Management. I had to take time off from work to care for my son but now I want to get back into the "game". Will having a MCSD certificaiton help get my foot in the door? My background is in mainframe stuff and business analyst roles as of late. But I've also done some web development, development with MS Access and a few other things. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Anything positive will help you get the foot in the door. As an employer I would be far more interested in your depth of experience than anything else (especially since 15 years ago I was just starting highschool). The MCSD may land you an interview over someone who doesn't have. And it may certainly be beneficial to you if you land a role in that area. But In terms of getting through the interview process and landing that job, your experience will be the greater of the two assets.
