Is there a way to use a wildcard(*) for the input value when using a parameter field? example: company = 'Crystal' and city like '*'???

Yep, that's exactly how you would do it !!

Hello,
That doesn't work in CRW 8.5. When the parameter prompts you for a value and you type (*) for the value it returns nothing. I even tried the first few letters for the city and then * and it returned nothing. I only way it would return valid data would be to type exactly how those values are stored in the database.

I'm trying to pull all the companies with the same name regardless of the city... using parameters to prompt the user. thanks

Hi,

Try a percent sign (%) as this is the SQL multi wildcard !
I think underscore (_) is single char wildcard.

Hth,
Geoff
