Wildcard Question

I have a query that asks for the persons last name. I want the user to be able to see the whole list if he doesn't know the last name. I know you use the wildcard but I am not sure how to get the coding correct.

Here's what I have in criteria:
[Enter the persons last name (* for wildcard):]

Can anyone help?
