I need a formula that will do the following:

If <Account> = (123%) then "New Account" else if
<Account> = (534%) then "Old Account"

Basicaly I want to check the first 3 digits and then assign them to a catorgory.

Thanks Rick.

Use the Pos function. Read the online help.

If Pos(<Account>, "123") = 1 then "New Account" else
if Pos(<Account>, "534") = 1 then "Old Account"
