I'm trying to use a wildcard on our DNS servers. Pretty simple stuff as far as our domain goes. What I want is something like this; ANYTHING.test.ourdomain.com goes to a dns entry.

I've tried creating the *.test.ourdomain.com CNAME and A records, which creates the subdomain test. I can ping *.test.ourdomain.com but that's it. anyword.test.ourdomain.com doesn't work.

I've read M$'s document on this, but I just can't get it to accept the wildcard. I can ping the "*" in *.test.ourdomain.com but that's it...

help?
