I AM USING DELL LATITUDE LAPTOP WITH WINDOWS XP, When out of the office I primarily use the WiFi network connection on the laptop. When I "dock" in the office, my laptop used to automatically switch off the Wifi as the docking station has a hard wire connection. And then it would automatically re-enable the Wifi when I un-docked

This is not working anymore, so when I switch on in the office, I get two network connections, then manually have to switch off the wifi, and manually switch it on if I un-dock

CAN SOMEONE KNOW HOW TO AUTOMATICALLY DOCK AND UNDOCK?

This is a bug in xp. I have seen it serveral times. The funny thing is there is not "sure" way to fix it. However, there is still hope. If you disable the lan device manually and leave it disabled a few times (to and from) the docking station, windows will "rethink" about what it is supoost to do. Then re-enable the lan. If that doesn't work, do the opposite several time with the wifi. 9 out of 10 times xp will "fix" the problem. Sorry to say I have never found a list of settings to "fix" this.
