Hi,
The think is for the past days my WD 120 GB disk behaving oddly...showing up in XP but couldnt access it, so i just reboot and it was ok. So now today i decide to go do backup on it and clean it..but when i start the machine and whent i way when it booted when i came back it was fixing the MFT on the disk, and now poor old me can´t access thes disk it says :
F:\ is not accessible.
the wrong diskette is in the drive.
Insert (volume serial number into drive F:
So i tried rebooting it the system whent up great but same error. So i transfered it to a win2k system and same deal there, so i when into disk managment and made it active, but then an another error shows up :
F:\ is not accessible.
Parameter incorrect
I tried ckdsk and it said :
The type of the file system is NTFS.
Unable to determine volume version and state. CHKDSK aborted.
I´m currently running recovery on it and it seems that the files are ok and it hasnt claimed any bad sectors. So i was wondering is there any simple solution to fixing this ?. Kinda wierd since the files are ok but XP or win2k whont recognize the disk.
Any thoughts ?
