Wierd Symbols in Monitor

Hey,

So I have a fairly new Netware 5.1 server running Support Pack Revision 04. when I look at the top of the Monitor screen, i see: Server Version: Novell Netware 5.1?¢τ - January 7, 2002.

Everything is running fine and has been for about a 6 or 7 weeks. It just seems like a visual problem, but it would be nice if it wasn't there.

Any thoughts?

I have seen this many times also, have not found out why though, What I can tell you is that it does not CAUSE a problem. It's only cosmetic. Brent Schmidt CNE,Network +

I have seen this prob when I was using rev.5.0 up to sp6a. Sometimes just Re-booting the server and the next time the symbols didn't show up. Other times small patches such as the TCP/IP or Winsock update would either change or eliminate the symbols alltogether.

Hey,

Yeah it seems to only be cosmetic. So if that's the case I'm not really gonna worry about it too much. I don't really wanna start adding patches unless I need them. So for now I will just be sure to keep on eye on it.

It is indeed only cosmetic and it's fixed by SP5 - check list of bug fixes for SP5.
