Wierd SSA Adapter 1

I have an IBM SSA Enhanced RAID Adapter on AIX 5.2
When I boot into 32 bit mode , "lsdev -Cc adapter | grep ssa shows"

ssa0 Avaliable 31-08 IBM SSA Enhanced RAID Adapter (14104500)

When I boot into 64 bit mode ,
ssa0 Defined 31-08 IBM SSA Enhanced RAID Adapter (14104500)

How do I put this into avaliable state?

try updating the firmware on that adapter, IF you are sure that it's supposed to work with 64 bit.

Firmware has been updated, still no luck.

How can I find out if it works with 64bit?

I have already did this. Does this mircocode upgrade, upgrade ALL SSA adapters or just this 14104500?

justthe one if you go to he site it has both the microcode and the aix driver code (2 different items)

perhaps a stupid remark,is the adapter seated in a 64-bit capable slot?

Yes, this F80 only has support for 64bit PCI cards.
