Wierd question marks if i copy a text from word to notepad!!!

I get question marks at the begining and end of each line if i copy texts from Microsoft word 2003 to a notepad. Any one please guide me to get out of that issue

Are you putting any special character at the beginning of each line? That character is not recognized by Notepad editor, so it is putting '?' for that character.

There are no special characters. Even a normal text when copied to notepad has that ? symbol

it has to be a font or a formatting quirk...

you may want to try to save the word doc as a txt file and see if the same thing happens.
