I'm trying to dial-in remotely to a site via SPM software and when transferred to *10 I hear a LOUD modem sound and then it cuts off a second later, and I do not get connected. Apparently the employees at the site are hearing this LOUD brief sound through each of their phones, when I get transferred. Other site dial ins work fine. Does anyone have any clue as to how this is happening??? Thanks in advance..

Hopefully, their AUTO BACK UP is set for weekly.

If so, I suggest that you:

A - Double check the dates on the Auto Back files

- then (If you find one from the weekend of March 1) -

B - Do a SYSTEM ERASE

- then -

C - Restore the Auto Back file from March 1

If that fails, you are most likely looking at a new processor.

The string I use to dial into my church's Magix ends with "**10". Try adding a 2nd "*" to see if that helps at all.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

I had one do something similiar once only the modem tones could be heard over loudspeakers. Power cycle and problem gone. It did not return.

I agree, power cycle the switch, this helps most of the time.
