After I installed IE 6 on machines that had been upgraded from Win98 to Win2000 I am having some problems.

1. I can't repair IE.
2. The names in Add/Remove programs don't show up.
3. The user can not type on any web page, including our GroupWise Compose HTML mail message.

The problem happened after the IE 6 Update Rollup was applied on the machine. I can't remove it because I can't read the names of the programs in Add/Remove programs.

Hi,

You should try this.

windowsxp.mvps.org/IEFIX.htm

This should fix your issue.

Hope this helps,

Erik

Thanks for the ideas. The first computer with this problem did not take either of these tips. (Though either one of them should have.) I've reinstalled the PC with WinXP Pro. I have two more machines to check out.
