Wierd icons

Running NT 4 W/S sp6a, did someone got or experienced having weird icons on their NT 4 desktop. Somehow upon downloading and installing TWEAKUI, I got all identical icons. I uninstalled TWEAKUI but to no avail. I searched the web and found an answer, delete "ShellIconCache.dll", shut down and boot. After I did that I'm still getting the same problem.

The users desktop settings are kept in the folder \winnt\profiles directory. In this folder you will find the users who have logged onto the server. The desktop folder has the configuration of each individual user. You may find that the errant icons are in these folders.

Yes. This is caused by TweakUI and Active Desktop. Check out

for the fix.

M$ tells you to remove TweakUI, but this isn't necessary. Just skip that particular step. Also, I have seen where you need to complete the steps two or three times before it is successful.
