Hello, all! I am having a problem with CR9, hoping someone else has had the same problem and can shed a little light on the problem.

I am trying to export a report into excel for a user ... one particular field is set up as "can grow" and is typically 2-3 lines long. Any time this field is only one line, (whether "can grow" is selected or not), it does not export for that detail record. Here is an example ....

"PER N/P AD RAN 1/5/06" would not export (because it is only one line in the report)
whereas
"PER RV AD RAN 1/10/06 (PG.5)TS MAILED 1/10/06 VIA REG MAIL." would export fine (2 lines in the report)

Any ideas as to what is wrong? I'm stumped.

Apply the service pack and see if that helps.

Otherwise, which Excel export are you selecting, data only, or?

As a cheat, try placing the field into a formula and see what it does. The can grow should have no effect.

Okay, sorry for the long delay in response. I didn't drop off the earth, just went on vacation, then was out of town for training, etc. Looks like the service pack was already installed, so that didn't work.

I'm selecting data & for the Excel export option, but ... shock! The cheat worked just fine - putting the field into a formula made it export as expected. Tell you what, since it ain't broke now, I'm not going to worry about fixing it until it breaks again.

Thanks for the help!
