I have a weird DFS issue. We have several Windows 2003 SP1 DCs across many sites.
I have implemented a Domain Based DFS which works well. The problem is that when I restart a domain controller and test DFS on the server, it’s fine. However, few hours later the DFS on the DC is not working (unable to browse). Any client authenticated on this DC is unable to browse DFS. Restart DFS and it’s all fine again. Clients connected to other DCs are also fine.
The only errors I can see in the log are MrxSmb 3019 and Srv 2012.
The DFS root scalability has been enabled on all roots.
Any help much appreciated.
