Hi.

I got some wierd performance issues on my SUN Fire 280R.
I has a 2x 750mhz SPARC III and 2gb ram 2FC 10k disks.

Before my websites was on a Dbian Linux with 1gb ram and a 3.0ghz xeon cpu.

That box still outperformce my new solaris. I was wondering it was such a huge performance loss so i started to investigate ;-)

It seems to be something with php since it it just sticks around for 1/2 seconds before something really happends.
Pure HTML is fast.

When trying ab (apache bench) i get alot of Failed requests.

The webserver is not slow, it's just not as fast as i want it to be ;-)

I use mysql:
mysql Ver 14.7 Distrib 4.1.20, for sun-solaris2.8 (sparc) using readline 5.0

Apache: Server version: Apache/2.2.0

PHP: PHP Version 4.4.2

All info is here
Anyone expirienced the same thing?

Thanx for reading!

btw. could mention that it's the csw (pkg-get) versions of apache, php4 and mysql ;-)
