Wierd Announcement Issue

[98Converter]

I recently used VAL Manager to back-up some announcements. When I do a disp ann I see the following:

But when they back-up I'm rec'vng 8 additional announcements that aren't showing up in ASA. How do I find those announcements in ASA?

If I list announcements, this is all that shows:

Do you have any media-gateways ?

You could say they are orphan files on the VAL board.... Chances are they were removed from the PBX without properly cleaning them up on the VAL board.

If you wanted to see them in ASA. You would need to created them by the change announcement command. The file names need to be exact.

No gateways... I'm thinking that wildcard100001 has it right. I would think that could create corruption down the road if you kept deleting them w/o properly removing them from the board.

If you have VAL manager, you can see all announcements that are on the VAL board, and delete the ones you are not using...
