Widows upgrade on Oracle server

We are looking at upgrading our server from Win NT to Windows 2000 will Oracle 8i have to be reinstalled for windows 2000? Any advice or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You haven't said which 8i, but only 8.1.7 is certified on Windows 2000.

I don't know if you need to reinstall as I'm a UNIX person :)

Theoretically speaking you should not reinstall Oracle .. because Windows 2000 it's only a Win NT with something more ... but ... you know Microsoft products don't follow normal logic .. and Oracle for Windows platform has to adhere to this behaviour ...
