I am setting up a small lab at home for my CCNA and I have acquired a lot of parts off ebay. I have 3 WIC-1DSU-T1 that came with some network modules. I wasn't planning on using them but since I have them I want to do some experimentation. I went on the Cisco site and the chart says it does not have the option for "short cable command". If I use a 3' patch cable will I blow the cards or the router or should I "borrow" a 1000' box of CAT5e from work? Thanks

Cable length should not be a problem. You can insert a loopback plug into the card without issue...

Yea thats what I thought. I just know from being zapped by T1 voltages that its pretty strong. Thanks
