I have a Cisco 2620XM with a WIC-1ADSL, and upgraded from 3Mbps down to 6Mbps down. I was still getting 2.4Mbps down after the circuit change. I connected my AT&T SpeedStream modem and was then getting 4.8-5Mbps down. So, I started looking into the show commands for the ATM0/0 interface. The first one that came to mind was sh dsl int, and here is the output...
Interleave Fast Interleave Fast
Speed (kbps): 0 6016 0 640
Cells: 0 230814 0 2286298
Reed-Solomon EC: 0 0 0 0
CRC Errors: 0 6 0 110
Header Errors: 0 5 0 26
Bit Errors: 0 0
BER Valid sec: 0 0
BER Invalid sec: 0
This means that it has been "trained" with the DSLAM for 6.016Mbps down and 640Mbps up.
The second command was sh cont atm0/0, and here is what I was looking for...
SCC Clockrates:
SCC0 = 2600000 (ATM0/0)
SCC1 = 0
SCC2 = 0
SCC3 = 1000000 (ATM0/0)
So, I changed the clock rate...
int atm0/0
clock rate ?
aal2 Clock rate for AAL2 channel
aal5 Clock rate for AAL5 channel
clock rate aal5 ?
1000000
1300000
1600000
2000000
2600000 (default)
3200000
4000000
5300000
7000000
clock rate aal5 5300000
And then sh contr atm0/0
SCC Clockrates:
SCC0 = 5300000 (ATM0/0)
SCC1 = 0
SCC2 = 0
SCC3 = 1000000 (ATM0/0)
And voila! Got 5Mbps down, SpeakEasy Bandwidth Speed Test.
