Are you just wanting to see the status or are you wanting to be able to do changes to the Wifi 2 adapter?

You should be able to go to the Network and Sharing Center/Change Adapter Settings and right click on whatever connection you want to create a shortcut to and place it on your desktop.

If you just want to see what the adapters are doing, you could do so via Powershell and link it to a shortcut by doing the following:
Using Windows PowerShell and the Get-NetAdapterStatistics cmdlet you can see a list of adapters and their connections. This may or may not be what you are looking for.
