Why would IE8 process styles diffently according to site address?

I have a website that can be accessed by several different addresses. I use the LAN restricted addresses 192.168.X.X for website servicing and two other addresses for access from the outside. Furthermore, my server to the internet has forwarding so that several different addresses access different directories in the same server. So "MyWebsite" can be reached three different ways:

A. 192.168.1.2/MyWebsite
B. C. MyWebsite.dynamicservice.com

I am finding that in Internet Explorer 8, the styles visible are different according to whether you use A, B or C, but in IE8 only. The difference does not show up in Firefox.

A and B show up the same way using the same styles, but C does not. In some cases the difference is dramatic. For example I have been trying to apply borders to column groups with the "rules = 'groups'" attribute setting for tables and this style setting is not showing up when using address C.

Does anyone have a clue as to what is going on?

Only a guess but C has a different Webroot to A & B so you may not be correctly loading yout CSS files
not sure why this would not affect Firefox though

Is your MyWebsite.dynamicservice.com hosted on a free server? They will often add some content (ads/links) to your site and may well break your CSS.

Open option C in a browser and do a 'view source'. You may find that there is some content added by the host.

No, the C address is hosted on the same server as A and B.

I have observed another odd thing, the differences I am seeing do not occur in all IE8 browsers. I opened the page in an IE8 browser in another computer and the differences was not there.

I suspect a browser setting might be involved.

What could it be?

I'd have to agree with Chris - caching seems the likeliest culprit - especially with it working correctly on another machine.
